Last year had it's ups and downs, joys and sorrows. It was a year of meeting new friends and saying goodbye to old ones. We bought a new home and sold our old one, and along with that left our old comfortable neighborhood for the unknown.
One thing has remained constant...God has had His hand on all of it. When you're going through it, it's sometimes hard to remember that He has a plan for whatever it is you're going through. I'm not a resolution making person, but one thing I really want to do this year is stop and listen to His voice. I've always tried to do that, but I think we all could be more deliberate about it. I also want to spend more time in The Word. With the move, I've had to leave my old Disciple Bible study group. In doing that, I've sorta fallen out of the habit of reading my Bible. I'm not going to make a grand goal of reading my Bible completely through, but I do want to make more time to read, study, and just BE with God.
So, this year is a new beginning. One filled with mystery to be sure, but if we trust the One who loves and wants only the best for us....it will be joyous, despite the pitfalls.
God bless all of you as you embark on the adventure that is 2008.

It has been a good year for getting to know new friends hasn't it? *hugs and love*
hey ... have I ever shared with you the story of Samuel. My Samuel, not the Samuel in the Bible.
His name, is not accidental.
